From the supplier: The use of event-related potential (ERP) is an important procedure in chronometric studies of human information processing. This is because ERPs indicate the 'timing' of a specific cognitive process and its type and degree of activation. An ERP study which synchronized electroencephalographic signals to a video tape of a baseball pitcher throwing fast balls and curves was made. It was concluded that video simulations can result in accurate ERP data and is also ecologically valid.
